In quanto Presidente della Irish Dental Association, ti scrivo per manifestare il nostro supporto e la vicinanza che proviamo verso tutti gli operatori clinici e sanitari in campo odontoiatrico in Italia, specialmente coloro che hanno contratto questa malattia; vogliamo inoltre esprimere le nostre più sentite condoglianze alle famiglie di tutti gli associati, che ci sono stati strappati da questa pandemia. Questi sono giorni orribili per tutti, pazienti, personale laico, clinico e le famiglie. Vogliamo quindi rinnovare la nostra vicinanza a te e a tutti gli associati ANDI, in questi tempi molto difficili.
L’importanza di lavorare insieme non è mai stata più assoluta; dobbiamo agire a supporto dei nostri associati nell’affrontare le sfide senza precedenti che questa pandemia di COVID sta aprendo. Ho voluto estendere il mio saluto per ricordare il valore fondamentale della collaborazione, al fine di aiutare i nostri soci in un periodo di crisi. Possiamo imparare molto l’uno dall’altro, in particolare sul come agire a favore dei nostri associati.

I write as President of the Irish Dental Association to extend our sincere support to all dental health care workers, who contacted the disease (COVID-19) and in particular our condolences to the families and staff of all your members, who have been bereaved in the recent pandemic. It is a horrendous time for all, patients, staff, dentists and families. We wish to extend our full support and best wishes to you and your members at this extremely difficult time.
The importance of working together in support of our members in facing the unprecedented challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has never been more vital. I wanted to reach out to you to convey the great value of working together to help serve our members in these difficult times. We can learn lots from each other, in particular how we help our members.

Ricevere la tua lettera è stato un grande piacere, desideriamo ringraziarti sentitamente anche in nome degli associati ANDI per le tue care parole e la tua partecipazione nelle sventure che la nostra Italia sta affrontando in questi tempi terribili. La tua empatia ci ha colpiti profondamente.
Il virus COVID-19 è un problema globale, e ha raggiunto anche l’Irlanda. Per questa ragione, vogliamo esprimere a nome di tutti gli associati ANDI la nostra partecipazione e il desiderio che voi usciate da questa situazione nel miglior modo possibile. Siamo assolutamente d’accordo quando dici che possiamo imparare l’uno dall’altro, e per questo riteniamo che possa essere un grande aiuto rimanere in contatto.
Speriamo che questa terribile crisi globale finisca al più presto, e che ci si possa ritrovare in un futuro migliore.

Dear Prof. Stassen, Dear Leo,
it was a great pleasure receiving your letter and we would like to thank you very much, also in the name of all ANDI colleagues, for your kind words and your deep participation into all the sorrows and problems Italy has to face up in this terrible times. Your empathy towards our country touched us very much.
The Covid-19 Virus is a global problem and has been spread in Ireland, too. Therefore, we would like to express you, also in the name of all ANDI colleagues that we are feeling with you and wish that you can get out in the best possible way. We agree with you that it is of help to stay connected between our Associations for the exchange of our experiences, we could learn from each other.
We hope that worldwide this terrible situation will end as soon as possible and looking forward to meet you then.
